Bisnis, JAKARTA — PT Freeport Indonesia reported a net profit of $2.20 billion, approximately IDR 35.20 trillion (exchange rate of IDR 15,973 per USD) for the first half of 2024 (unaudited). This represents a substantial 67% increase compared to the $1.32 billion (IDR 21.08 trillion) recorded in the same period last year. The growth was driven by higher sales of copper and gold commodities.
