Indonesia Pushes for Tea Export Revival

Indonesia's tea exports have once again faced a decline this year. Trade Minister Budi Santoso underscored that the government remains committed to expanding market access for Indonesian tea products on the global stage.

Bisnis, JAKARTA – Indonesian tea exports have continued to decline this year after reaching a peak in 2021, despite sustained global demand for the commodity.

According to BPS data, Indonesian tea exports from January to October 2024 totaled US$44.66 million, marking a 21% drop compared to the same period in 2023, which saw exports of US$56.42 million. In 2023, total tea exports amounted to US$69.01 million.
