Surge in Electric Vehicles During Christmas and New Year Holidays

Travelers going with electric vehicles (EVs) during the 2025 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays is expected to surge threefold compared to the same period last year. In anticipation, PLN is preparing public EV charging stations (SPKLU).

Bisnis, JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) has confirmed the readiness of its public EV charging stations (SPKLU) in West Java to support EVs during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year (Nataru) holidays.

President Director of PT PLN (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo stated that the state-owned enterprise has set up 312 SPKLUs across 214 locations in West Java. The service will be supported by 474 personnel, working in shifts to provide round-the-clock assistance.
