Historia Bisnis: Bakrie Group’s Overseas Expansion in Telecommunications

Bisnis.com, JAKARTA — Over the last few decades, the Bakrie Group has successfully penetrated the Australian, Vietnam, and Indian telecommunications markets.

Back in 1995, as reported in the March 15 edition of Bisnis Indonesia that year, a source told Bisnis that Bakrie Group had acquired a local Vietnamese private company to enter the country’s telecommunications market. However, the name of the acquired company had not been disclosed at the time.
