Bisnis.com, JAKARTA — Banks affiliated with Southeast Asian financial groups showed mixed performances in Q1/2025. Despite facing margin compression and tight liquidity conditions, several banks succeeded in sustaining their growth momentum, while others continued to grapple with earnings pressures.

By early May 2025, at least six banks with ownership links to investors from Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand had published their financial results. Among them, CIMB Niaga emerged as the top profit earner, while Maybank Indonesia made a notable turnaround from losses to profitability.
