Bisnis.com, JAKARTA — Indonesian telecommunication providers are calling on the government to establish a regulation that ensures equal rights and obligations between telcos and over-the-top (OTT) service providers to promote a healthy digital ecosystem.
Mobile carrier PT Telekomunikasi Selular or Telkomsel, subsidiary of state-owned Telkom Indonesia, stressed that such a regulation is crucial to ensure a level playing field, a sentiment echoed by the Indonesian Telematics Society (Mastel).
