Bisnis, JAKARTA — After expanding for 34 straight months, Indonesia’s manufacturing activity is inching closer into the contraction zone with a manufacturing PMI of 50.7 as of June 2024, marking the third consecutive month of declining PMI and hitting its lowest in at least one year since May of last year (see infographic).

The declining PMI growth rate has affected output confidence for the next 12 months, which has not budgeted from its four-year low.
