Bisnis, JAKARTA — Despite a sluggish performance in car sales from January to July 2024, many brand holders (APMs) remain undeterred, continuing to launch their newest models. These new releases are seen as key to invigorating the automotive industry in the second half of the year.
Car Brands Launch New Models as Sales Slow
The Association of Indonesia Automotive Industries (Gaikindo) reported a decline in wholesale car sales for July 2024, with a total of 74,160 units sold. This represents a 7.9% YoY decrease compared to the 80,504 units sold in July 2023.
