Bisnis, JAKARTA – The increase in Village Fund, also known as Dana Desa, allocation of up to IDR2 billion is facing a backlash as it may lead to corruption and conflicts of interest with the approach of the 2024 election.

The public trust may be tested once again following the House of Representatives (DPR)’s decision to allocate 20 percent of the Transfer to Local Government (TKD) for Village Fund, from the previous 10 percent. This decision may give way to corruption and conflicts of interest as the 2024 election approaches.
