Bisnis.com, JAKARTA — Chinese carmakers took center stage at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025, raising questions about how the country’s largest auto exhibition might influence stocks such as Astra International (ASII), Astra Otoparts (AUTO), and Dharma Polimetal (DMRA).
A recent report from Indo Premier Sekuritas noted that of the roughly 38 automotive brands featured at the event, organized by the Association of Indonesia Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), at least 15 were from China. Six of these were first-time participants at the show, which runs from July 24 to August 3, 2025.
